Happy Halloween!

It’s our first Halloween in our home, so we bought candy and are gonna wait for the little kiddos to ring the bell.  I hope the come to our door! Growing up I really didn’t celebrate Halloween or dressed up. If we did was in school.  This day me and my family celebrated a more important event, my brother Joey’s birthday! Even though we are miles away I miss you and I wish you a happy birthday! You know I am four days behind you.  Yes our birthdays are four days apart, which meant our birthday parties were always celebrated together as kids.  My mom’s birthdays was October 23rd, so other than my daddy the birthday’s in my family are really closed together.

Help me by saying Happy Birthday to Joey!

and

What are you dress up as today?

Y

De que te disfrazaste hoy?

Love,

Natalia

This day we visited the 9/11 memorial this day and I was crying the whole time.  Remembering back when I was in 8th grade and watching this happening on TV really messed me up.  It was so sad being in the place that it all happen and all the lives of common normal people like myself were lost that day.  I could have been anyone, you or me.  We will never forget.  We took the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty.  It was a good relaxing ride back and forth.  We walk through Chinatown and Little Italy after and found this heart wall. Of course I had to take pictures with it! I’m so glad I had my Polette pink round sunglasses this whole trip.  I love the 60s-70s style lately with basic more comfortable clothes.  Stripes will always be my thang.

Love you,

Natalia

Putting my hair up has grown on me a little.  This glasses from Polette make it look so much cuter.  I don’t think is the heat what makes Florida unbearable in summer, is the high levels of humidity that kills us.  It what makes us sweaty, stick and uncomfortable. I found this light comfy chambray top at Forever 21 and makes the hot days more bearable.  I know I know I come from Puerto Rico where is like this every day most of the year, where most house don’t have A/C units and we live depending on all the fans on all day.  I guess it was a different feeling and there was always this breeze in the evening.  For real, I miss home.  I drive around and feel I am driving through familiar streets back home in Puerto Rico and I just can’t help relate everything to things back home.  I need a trip back soon.  I know this post is all over the place, my head is a scrambled I’m sorry!

Sorry!

Love you,

Natalia
