Mod Baby

Remember when I told you I was obsessed with this color?  Well, I can’t get enough of it… or suede. This little suede dress from Forever 21 makes me feel like a mod babe.  It goes perfectly with my Crown Vintage black Mary Janes heels. The 60s styles has been a strong inspiration for me this season. Give me all the suede and high necks!

What has inspired you lately?

Happy Saturday!

Saturday has become my favorite day of the week. It’s the day I disconnect and do my thing and forget about everything else.  Remember when I told you some things will change around here and how difficult it was to just do blog thing over the weekend?  Well, I started working with my beautiful friend and photographer Amanda Lenhardt and she will take most pictures for Curious Natalia!  I have always loved and admire her work and creativity, so I am over the moon with this decision.  This decision was long overdue. We realized how hard it was for Justin and I to only take pictures only weekends due to time change and his new job.  I am so grateful for what he has done and he will continue to do for me to make my dreams come true.

I wanted to share some outfit pictures from our photoshoot with my girl, Thamarr, from Musings of a Curvy Lady.  I created a James Dean look, a grungier look than my usual.  I love trying other styles and how I can make them look like something I can really see myself wearing.  Who doesn’t love putting a leather jacket and red lips?  This look was perfectly completed by this adorable marsala-wine suede ankle boots from Clarks.  Seriously, the most comfortable boots in the most popular color of the season.  You will see how obsessed I am with this color later on.

Now enjoy the weekend… because it will be done before you know it.

I Heart You NYC

This day we visited the 9/11 memorial this day and I was crying the whole time.  Remembering back when I was in 8th grade and watching this happening on TV really messed me up.  It was so sad being in the place that it all happen and all the lives of common normal people like myself were lost that day.  I could have been anyone, you or me.  We will never forget.  We took the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty.  It was a good relaxing ride back and forth.  We walk through Chinatown and Little Italy after and found this heart wall. Of course I had to take pictures with it! I’m so glad I had my Polette pink round sunglasses this whole trip.  I love the 60s-70s style lately with basic more comfortable clothes.  Stripes will always be my thang.

Love you,
