I was asked by the lovely people at eShakti to review their clothes on my blog and I was so excited about this opportunity!  eShakti is an online women’s apparel store that offers sizes from 0 to 36W.  What’s cool about eShatki is their customization with their apparel and how every person can customize their clothes to their needs and their style.  When you go order at eShatki you can order through the standard sizes, which still gives you all the measurements so customers can see which size they are, or you can customize your sizes by providing all the measures of your body for them to create the perfect piece for you!  That’s not all!  You can customize the way the piece of clothing will look like.  You can choose in between different types of necklines, sleeves and skirt lengths.  This creates a special piece of clothing that not everyone will have!  I was pretty excited when I created my dress.  I chose the fabric I loved the most, but the default dress was not my style.  So, I changed the neckline to be a scoop neck and short length sleeve.  Of course I had to get a midi skirt length!  Now lets talk about service and quality.  The process is so easy and the people are so nice!  When I got my dress on the mail I really didn’t know what to expect, but when I tried it on I loved it right away! The material is so soft and light weighted, not stiff or hard.  Great material of high quality, I can see this dress with me for long years to come.  The dress was so comfortable and you can dress it up or down!  I will be taking it to Washington D.C. this weekend for my anniversary dinner for sure!  Thank you eShakti for my beautiful dress!!

I would recommend this experience to anyone!  I know, sometimes we struggle with things not fitting the right way and we wish clothes were made for our body.  Here is your opportunity!

Old Christmas Ornament

Christmas is just around the corner! Literally, like just a couple of days now. I am excited to share this little DIY project I made a couple of weeks ago. I saw it on  Pinterest, of course! If you want hints to what I’m getting ready to post about or glances into my wishlists you can follow me on Pinterest.  Anywho, I just had to do this project for my Christmas tree!  I couldn’t just keep this cut yet simple little DIY to myself.  I will share with you a step by step of how I made this ornament.

Materials you will  need:

  • Ornament
  • Page from an old book
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge (I used Satin)
  • Small brush

First Step:

Cut the page from the book in little strips.  I cut mine in thin pieces so it was easier when I started to glue it on the ornament.

Step Two:

Cut the strips in half.  This made it easier when I did this project, it fits better and you can manage better too.

Step Three:

Put Mod Podge in a section of an ornament.  It’s better to do section by section so it doesn’t turn into a mess!

Step Four:

Put a strip of paper on where the Mod Podge is.

Step Five:

Add Mod Podge on top of the paper so it seals and adheres to the ornament. It also makes a shiny coat to the ornament.

Note:  There are different types of Mod Podge.  They are all different finishes.  Mine is the satin one.  I didn’t want one too shiny.

Step Six:

Continue!  Keep adding Mod Podge and glueing the paper on the ornament.

Step Seven:

When the ornament is fully cover, you can put more Mod Podge on top to get rid of any gap.  Don’t be afraid of getting your hands messy! You can use your hand to really seal the paper on the ornament and so there is no gaps.

Step Eight:

You can add some ribbon on top or twine!  This will really finish off this cute ornament!

Voila!

Remember, it needs to dry overnight,  I would recommend hanging the ornament and not leave it to dry on top of anything.

Now you can put it on your Christmas tree!

This easy idea made my Christmas tree so much prettier! I love how it turned out and that part of my personality is part of my Christmas tree now. Not only simple but inexpensive too! Great gifts if you’re looking to save money this year. Add their personality to it too by using pages from one of their favorite books, or use song sheets of their favorite songs.

I hope this step by step guide really helped and that you feel inspired of creating this cute little ornament to be part of your Christmas!

Have a good weekend!

Natalia

DIY // Dining Room Table and Chairs

Not only do I want this space to be a fashion blog, because that’s not my only passion. I love doing do it yourself stuff, or I like to say, “DIM- Do it myself.”  I spend hours on Pinterest every week looking for new things to add to our first home. I especially love taking what I already have and making them new! Let’s take a look at one of my Pins that quickly became an inspiration.

We bought a dining room set a few months ago from an Antique Store, and I knew what I was going to do when I saw it!  I loved the idea of a white table and minty blue chairs. So, after many hours of painting, this is the result and I am oh so in love with it!

We just got our wedding photos last week and I was so ready to put pictures in my empty frames.  I love how everything just came together! I can’t wait to invite people over for dinner!
