Here are some snapshots we took with our camera when we were in Washington D.C. last week! We couldn’t take our camera everywhere we went since it wasn’t allowed in some of the places we went in, and it was totally understandable.  We got a chance to go inside the White House, saw the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and the first American flag!! This one was totally unexpected because I didn’t know it was still around!  It was a great experience getting to see all the important pieces that has made this country and all the history behind it.  But, oh boy, we didn’t know we were gonna walk this much in just 3 days.  I really wasn’t expecting the national mall to be so big and long! From all the monuments, the Lincoln Memorial was definitely my favorite.  I was in total awe when I saw it, never expect it to be this huge and magnificent.   The last day we walk around Georgetown and it was a lovely side of D.C.  We ended our trip going to the Arlington National Cemetery.  We saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  I’m glad we got a chance to see this tribute and I couldn’t hold my tears at such a moving moment, paying respect to those soldiers that haven’t been identified and how they don’t leave a man behind until they finally rest in peace.

Great experience and memories were built on this trip.  I don’t know where my next trip will take me, but I am definitely already thinking what city to visit next.  Where should I go next???

Love,

Natalia
