What’s old is new

So, I have so many projects I’ve been waiting to do and haven’t got around them.  I finally decided to do my bedroom nightstands!  These nightstands have been with me since I moved to Jacksonville, which has been more than a few years. I really didn’t care for them anymore.  However,  I thought I could make them into something new!  I bought these knobs that I absolutely love at Hobby Lobby, and I had some pretty mint paint leftover from my dining room project.

Ta-da! A full makeover with these nightstands.  I distressed them a little bit so they have an old look to it.  I love how they turned out! So easy!

To finish up our bedroom decor I added cute decorations that I originally made for my wedding.  Notice the MR. and MRS.? Most of all our wedding decor is decorating our whole apartment, and I’m ok with that! I want my little apartment to feel like a home for us, until one day we buy our house. Sometimes that’s difficult when you rent a place. However, we were determined to make it look like ours. Our bedroom is slowly coming together, especially after this DIY. I’m obsessed with the wall, so let’s talk about that for a second. I was waiting to buy that cool vintage white frame for awhile. Then one day, I finally found it! To compliment the vintage frame are vintage plates Justin and I purchased in a vintage store on our honeymoon, in New York! (Although these were purchased in Williamsburg, Brooklyn) When I saw the plates,  I had to have them. They are very dear to us and remind us of our special trip.

Projects like this are so easy to do that anyone can do them. Just have an idea in mind, materials, and a full day of  creativity and you’re set!

Hope you are having a great week so far!
