We’ve been reviewing mine and my husbands get away this past weekend in Charleston. While there, we visited the Charles Pinckney Plantation.  For those who don’t know who he is,  Charles Pinckney was signer for the United States Constitution from South Carolina.  I have never set foot on a plantation before, so we decided to take a tour of this plantation.  I quickly fell in love with this house! Not to mention all of the natural beauty found in the land, trees, and trails surrounding this lovely house.

It was such a nice day out.  The weather was perfect for this leather jacket from Forever 21 and floral dress from H&M.  This week I cannot stop thinking about my home, Puerto Rico.  I think it’s about time for me to go visit my little island to be with my family and old friends, and take a break from my life here in Florida.

Hope you are having a good week so far!

Charleston is probably one of my favorite places in the USA.  Justin and I had a great time in our little weekend getaway.  I love all the historic, old timey feeling this town gives.  We got there really early Saturday morning.  The first place we went was a gourmet doughnut shop called Glazed.  We got the plain glazed doughnut, because we are so plain jane all the time.  It was such a sweet threat!  Then we started adventuring the historic town!  We pretty much walked all day.  From the city market to the waterfront.  Going in old houses and taking tours in dungeons.   I had the most amazing chicken and waffles at a creative casual cuisine restaurant called Graze.  I have crave them since I had them.   And to end our trip, coffee!  Black Tap was such a nice coffee shop,  it had such a good atmosphere and good lattes!  Me and Justin just sat there for a while talking while sipping my brown sugar latte!  I cannot explain what a good time we had together, I really didn’t want to leave.

I’m ready for our next adventure.

I’m back from my little get away to Charleston with my husband.  Now to work and study, study, study! I really didn’t want to come back to reality.  I just wanted to stay in beautiful, historic Charleston. Don’t worry, I will be posting pictures soon.

One of my favorite accessories to add to my outfits are bows.  (If the Portlandia reference didn’t give it away.) I love the vintage look it gives. To add some life to my outfit, my mustard cardigan! These spectators flats are valuable to me, like most of my clothing.  I purchased them while we were on our honeymoon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  The husband approved for me to buy them (as a birthday gift ha!).

How’s your week going so far, what pops of color are you adding to your outfits?
